Eco-education Centre Build

Construction by Tilia Properties of the innovative new Eco-education Centre on the
Rackheath Industrial Estate is now well under way.

The eagerly awaited project, which gained the approval of councillors at Broadland District Council in 2010, is situated on Ramirez Road on the Rackheath Estate.

Tilia Contracts Manager, Shaun Catterall, states, “All foundation work has now been set out and footings have been excavated and concreted. The erection of the steel structure commenced on Friday 21st October.”

The project, financed with money allocated from government funds, will be built using sustainable materials and is designed to be energy efficient. The aim of the centre is to encourage local businesses to become environmentally aware, and to educate local schoolchildren in green technology and environmental issues. It is hoped that businesses and children will be able to work together on a variety of interesting projects.
