items of plant and machinery used in the boatbuilding industry, as well as a
number of boats in mid-construction. The Tilia team has to take great care during
construction therefore, planning the logistics of any necessary movement of
equipment.</span></div>

large, middle section of the premises requires the safe removal and disposal of
asbestos roof sheets prior to the installation of insulated 120mm composite
roof sheets with associated roof lights, cladding, flashings, gutters and
drainpipes.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: 11.0pt;">In the IBTC canteen we will be replacing the existing chipboard flooring
with an industrial standard 22mm tongue and groove version, possibly replacing
or reinforcing floor joists in the process. The room will then be made open
plan with new kitchen fittings and a viewing window installed overlooking the
workshop, with acoustic insulation and Fireline board in the surrounding wall.
A new PVCu fire escape door will then be installed and the staircase to the
canteen re-positioned.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

pleased to be working on a major refurbishment of the main boatshed at the
International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft. The college, which
runs comprehensive boatbuilding and joinery courses attracting students from
all over the world, was in need of a more heat retentive building to boost its
energy efficiency.</span></div>

team started by removing all of the old cladding and various fixings and
ensuring that the remaining was structure safe and secure, before the

started to erect the new cladding, which is designed to significantly improve

familiar feature at Tilia’s Hoveton Business Park site, marking its former
incarnation as a railway goods yard. However, we’ve decided it’s time that the
partially restored carriage should be returned to a railway organisation, where
it can be put to good use.</span></div>

brake van to the LWR, Leiston Works Railway, a not-for-profit Suffolk based
railway preservation society, with the handover scheduled for 31<sup>st</sup>
October. Once the van has been fully restored it will be used to transport
visitors to the LWR along the works line.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

of the recycling unit is set to reduce Preva’s water bills by some £60k a year!
The plant completely cleans and recycles the water used by the company to wash
potatoes, enabling it to be completely reused. The system is efficient enough
to remove all vegetable matter, soil deposits, chemicals and insecticides,
returning the water to specified standards. In addition to this, the soil
deposits removed are compacted and used as top-grade soil. Only 5% of water is
likely to be lost per year through evaporation.</span><br />

local firm known to Tilia, L&G Engineering, are now fabricating a service
bridge to connect electricity, compressed air, water and waste water from the
main building to the new plant. The gantry will be approximately 6 metres high
and is expected to be delivered and installed at the Preva site in early
September.</span><br />

Properties is continuing work on the expansion project for the
long-established, much-acclaimed cruising yacht company, Oyster Yachts, at
their Wroxham facility.</span><br />

project has involved the construction of additional boat build bays and a new,
improved customer reception area, completed to Tilia’s usual high standards.</span><br />

interior of the old units were stripped out and specific walls and the old roof
covering removed. Installation of the bolt boxes, followed by the pouring of
concrete for any new foundations required, came next in the process.</span><br />

Tilia team then proceeded with the steel erection of new pillars and beams. In
order to increase the thermal value of the buildings, they were insulated, reroofed
and the exteriors reclad. To complete this part of the project, Tilia laid a
new concrete floor with necessary drainage connections and external reinforced
concrete work.</span><br />
